"We are proud to be nominated for the Grand Award of Medium-Sized Businesses. We want to set milestones – with pioneering innovations and with the excellent quality of our solutions, for which we give our best every day. The nomination shows that our efforts are worthwhile", says Thomas Hösle, Managing Director of ELABO GmbH.
As the only business prize in Germany, the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" does not just look at statistics, innovations or jobs, but at the company as a whole and in its complex role in society.
"The middle class is and remains a guarantor of stability and trust in Germany. I would like to congratulate the nominees and the winners of the [...] ‚Großen Preis des Mittelstandes‘. You have earned this," said Dr Wolfgang Schäuble, President of the Bundestag, in 2017 as Federal Minister of Finance. "The ‚Große Preis des Mittelstandes' is a figurehead for the prestigious brand 'Made in Germany'" said Albrecht Gerber as Brandenburg's Minister of Economics and Energy. And Barbara Stamm, former President of the Bavarian Parliament, praised: "Those who were nominated here have already received a first-class award through this selection alone". "The 'Großer Preis des Mittelstandes' awarded by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation is the most coveted business award in Germany", wrote the newspaper WELT. In 2008 and 2016, the foundation was honoured with the Federal Cross of Honour and in 2015 with the Company Change Award.
