The working environment is in a constant state of change. There is more and more room for manoeuvre when, where and how we work. Flatter hierarchies and agile methods are also changing the way we work together.
The changes also mean new challenges for companies. Which working modalities do I already have to offer in a competitive labour market and do new working environments really encourage my employees to be more productive?
These are the questions to whose answers the study "Zukunftsprojekt Arbeitswelt 4.0", headed by Dr. Axel Korge, is already researching. Commissioned by the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Housing, the University of Hohenheim is investigating the change in work as a result of digitization in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering and Organization. Specific guidelines for small and medium-sized companies can already be derived from the results of the study. Recommendations for action, which already indicate a direction for the development of Working Environment 4.0.
On Wednesday, 11 March 2020, Axel Korge presented the results and recommendations for action to the interested audience of the CDU Economic Council. They were guests at ELABO and, in addition to the presentation, were given a guided tour of the ELABO Innovation Center and the Smart Factory. At the beginning, Thomas Hösle, Managing Director of ELABO GmbH, welcomed the guests with a short introduction and gave an overview of possible solutions with regard to a changing working environment. For several years now, ELABO has been working intensively in this field with research institutions such as Fraunhofer IAO. In this way, ELABO is able to meet the challenge of change with innovative solutions.
We like to thank all participants for the visit and the interesting dialogue.
