Electrical safety and resistance testing of gearboxes
At a glance
- Elution® Software
- Electrical safety test (PE, IS, HV)
- Resistance test
Description
The test system is used for electrical safety testing (PE, IS, HV), resistance testing of the motor windings and the connection between the two housing parts. The tests are performed in a completely enclosed test rack. The test devices as well as the switching matrix are placed in housings on the test rack. The connection to the test devices is made via a customer-specific adapter cable. To perform the test, the operator places the test object – together with the workpiece carrier – in the test rack and adapts the adapter cable at the specified points. The test rack must be completely closed, which is monitored by a safety circuit. A temperature sensor is connected to the Burster Resistomat for temperature compensation of the resistance measurement. The test system is completely computer controlled. The operation of the system during the tests is computer controlled. By creating test plans, the test system can be adapted to new or changed products. The parameters of the test object and the tests are freely adjustable within predefined limits.

Semi-automated circulation system for testing cell contacting systems
At a glance
- Elution® Software
- Error-free assembly due to worker guidance
- Continuity check
- Insulation resistance test
- High voltage test
- Component marking with laser
Description
The semi-automated circulation system is composed of various stations through which the test object passes on a workpiece carrier via a conveyor belt. The first station is an insertion station where the test object is inserted, scanned and identified by an RFID system. The worker is guided through the assembly process by the Elution® software.
In the following test station the test object is again identified by means of an RFID system. The workpiece carrier is lifted and indexed, the test object is contacted from below via two contacting units. From above, the test object is also contacted via pneumatic contact pins at up to 36 test points. This is followed by a continuity, insulation resistance and high-voltage test.
The third station in the system is a laser station in which the test object is again identified by the RFID system, the workpiece carrier is lifted out and indexed. "Good" tested objects are lasered with a DataMatrixCode. The code is then counter-scanned in order to verify its contents.
A conveyor belt transports the test object to the unloading station. Here the test object is identified one last time by the RFID system. Final assembly activities are performed on "good" tested test objects, supported by the worker guidance of the Elution® software. "Bad" tested test objects are disposed of in a corresponding faulty parts box.

Function and safety testing of washing machines
At a glance
- Function test
- Safety test
- AOI robot vision test
- Line Audit
- Overall control via Elution® Software
Description
The End of Line System is used for the complete functional testing of washing machines, including a norm-compliant safety test. The system is divided into four basic functional areas that are interlinked with an automatic transport system and approached one after the other. The washing machine is transported on a special workpiece carrier. An RFID system installed in the workpiece carrier ensures the identification of the washing machines in the station.
The system is extended by an AOI Robot-Vision system, in which a robot takes pictures of the oscillating system and the washing machine housing and automatically compares them with the reference images. Furthermore, the system is supplemented by a line audit, which enables long-term tests of the washing machines at four individual test stations.
Automatic function test of washing machine panels
At a glance
- Elution® software module N2-2B* with customer-specific MES connection
- Functional test including
- Vision inspection
- Touch testing via robot
- Audio frequency testing
- Integrated label printer
Description
The test system, designed as a turntable with 4 stations, is used for the complete functional testing of control panels for washing machines and dryers. The different tests are carried out fully automatically in the four segments. On the one hand, there is an insertion and removal station, where the control panel is inserted and manually contacted or removed by the employee. In the second station, an automatic vision check of the labeling for color and symbolism is performed in the background with the aid of a camera and corresponding evaluation software. In addition, the buzzer is checked for the correct frequency. In the next station, a robot simulates a human finger and checks the control panel for the function of the individual keys. If the panel passes all the test steps, a customer-specific label is automatically applied to the panel at a specific position in the next station. The label is then scanned automatically to verify the content of the Data Matrix code printed on the label. Finally, the control panel is manually removed from the test system at the insertion and removal station. The entire system is controlled by the Elution® software, to which the robot, the vision software and the label printer are subordinate.

The devices to be tested are transported to the test position on pallets via a belt system and placed and fixed there via a pneumatic device. The belt system reports "devices in position" to the ELABO test system via a digital interface and scans the type code (device barcode) of the device to be tested. The type data is reported to the PDA control system. The customer PDA system transfers the relevant test data to the Elution® Software for device-specific testing. In the test portal, the automatic device contacting is carried out via the axis system (mains contacting and PE contacting). After the test has been completed, the test data is automatically reported back to the PDA system. The system rack contains all measuring devices, the system PC, the switching of the test voltages and test currents, and the control of the automatic contacting for mains contacting and PE test adapters.

Dielectric strength (HV)
Functional test (voltage, current and power measurement)
Description
The test system is used for electrical safety and performance testing of electrical refrigeration devices with AC or DC supply. The connection panel with sockets and connectors is used for contacting the test object. At the beginning a manual electrical connection of the test object with the test system is carried out by the operator (plug in the connection field). Control and monitoring is performed via the integrated system computer using the Elution® Software. Similar test steps, e.g. PE, can be present several times with different limit values in the test plan. The structure of the test sequence is variable and can be individually adapted to the test object and the activities required for the test. The Elution® Software provides convenient functions for managing the test plans and measured values. In addition, a powerful statistics module is integrated, which allows an exact evaluation of the test data. The measured values are stored in a local SQL-Express database.
